Prices are exclusive of VAT and purchaser’s costs. The notary’s fees and stamp duty are the responsibility of the purchaser and are calculated on the purchase price of the chalet (inclusive VAT). The stamp duty is 3.5%, the fee for registration in the Grundbuch (land registry), 1% and the notary’s fees, 1.5%.

The guide price for the provision of a fully fitted kitchen (including equipment), the furnishing of living room, bedrooms, etc. is approx. 17,000 Euros excl. VAT. If you choose to let the property you will be able to reclaim the VAT on the purchase price. There is a agreement with the tax office whereby you do not need to pay the VAT before financing.

 

Mortgage

 

We have mortgage offers from several Austrian banks. The Austrian bank finances 50 - 60% of the purchase price and all the purchaser’s costs. Duration of the loan is 20 – 25 years and depending on the age (max. 75 years) and is based on annuity. Interest is fix or flexible. The flexible rate June 2010 is 2,4 – 2,9%.
